Kambalda
Kambalda is a nickel town situated 632km east of Perth. Kambalda lies on the shores of Lake Lefroy which rarely holds water. Population 4,259.
Kambalda was hugely affected by the goldrush between 1897 and 1906, then the gold ran out and the town declined in population. The town is going strong with mining, and still hope for more gold.
The town is modern and delivers prosperity. The main attractions are the mines, but also the sailing on the Lake Lefroy, a salt lake close to the town.

Permission is required from the Western Mining Offices to use the private roads across the lake. more
