Merredin
Merredin is a wheat town and home to the world’s largest road train. Located 260km east of Perth, Merredin has a population of 3,600. The town's name is derived from the Aboriginal word "merrit-in", the place of the merrit tree, a eucalypt used to make spears.
Merredin is known for its historical landmarks and museums. The Old Railway Station Museum, the Military Museum, WWII hangers and buildings and wonderful wildflowers makes Merredin a uniquely wonderful place.
