8greatescapes special terms like "Getaway Car"

Terms

You will notice some unusual terms through this 8greatEscapes series - some of the terms are easy enough to follow, others perhaps need an explanation.

Because these are "escapes" the vehicle you drive to get away is your ...wait for it...."Getaway Car" .

And because we want you to escape safely we want you to drive your Getaway Car at or below the speed limit - take backroads sometimes and look in side roads as you go!

The people who keep you from getting away on these escapes - perhaps your boss, your bank manager, your friends, your partner(s), your children, the taxman - whosover they might be (and of course it may be yourself) - are called "the Jailors" because they keep you locked in the stressful environment you are in and prevent you, one way or another, from taking the DriveWA escape of your dreams.

"The Loot"  means "the lot" and is pronounced "loot" - much like you might buy a hamburger with the lot - and means that this escape has loads of great stuff piled on with a shovel.   The term "the Loot" of course follows the escape theme - and refers to what we are trying to get away with or enjoy!

And of course once you are in these pages you are a potential "Escapee".

The last term in this series of silly names is the "Get out of Jail Free card" which in our context is your WA Pass.

Now when you played the game of Monopoly (surely most of you played that game which was apparently originally patented by Charles Darrow) as a younger person, when you drew a card from the Chance or Community Chest, you might have drawn a "get out of jail free" card which allowed you to keep it and use it to escape free the next time you landed in "jail" for nothing (which otherwise cost you money after three throws etc).

So in this context, you can buy your WA Pass from us online and keep it and use it to save money while you are travelling or give it to one of your loved ones - if they are about to escape etc to save them money whilst they drive around Western Australia or for Xmas, a birthday, or if they need to go away or you want them to go away for whatever reason.

Of course nothing much is free in the world of travel any more.   Your Get out of Jail Free card ie your WA Pass will make many of the things you might enjoy on your travels in our 8greatEscapes series much better value.

Sadly we cannot afford to give it to you for free - but it's cheap!  Have a quick look at the WA Pass (oops ! Get out of Jail Free card website):
