Calculate and offset your carbon emissions!

We are committed to the control of emissions so that our natural environments are not destroyed by the onset of an unacceptable amount of global warming and we are doing our small bit to assist. 

We asked our clients to seriously consider offsetting the emissions that would arise out of their DriveWA.com experience but in response they told us that it was too hard to calculate the carbon emissions involved.

So DriveWA.com embarked on a program with Carbon Neutral to develop a carbon emissions calculator specifically for the Tourism Industry.  We of course focused specifically on self drive touring so now there is no reasonable excuse as our clients can reasonably accurately calculate the emissions involved and properly and responsibly offset those emissions.

This will be an excellent addition to the weaponry available to responsible tourism operators and so now we can all work together to minimise the effects of our activities on our beautiful WA environment.

DriveWA.com is particularly pleased to work with Carbon Neutral because it is WA based and much of their carbon emissions offsetting is done by planting native biodiverse trees in rural WA which is something we can all enjoy as we DriveWA and leave a better WA behind us for our children.

Carbon Neutral is a not for profit company working with hundreds of organisations and thousands of individuals to measure, reduce and offset greenhouse gas emissions and support revegetation projects.

Started in 2001 by Men of the Trees, Carbon Neutral services include a Four Step Carbon Reduction Programme, carbon calculators and information on climate change, provision of carbon offsets, carbon sink establishment and revegetation projects.

To date Carbon Neutral has planted over 2 million trees in Australia, most of them in Western Australia.
