Wyalkatchem
Wyalkatchem is a Wheatbelt town with a population of around 620 people. In 2003 Wyalkatchem was the winner of Australia's tidiest town.
The district was first surveyed in 1846 by A.C. Gregory. Sandalwood cutters were the early district pioneers, followed by pastoralists in the 1860's and permanent settlers in 1904.
